Surrealist Photographer (Man Ray) https://www.wikiart.org/en/man-ray Man Ray (1890-1976), who started out as a painter and became famous for his Surrealist photographs of fashion, art, women and objects, affected a lazy, devil-may-care attitude. He often worked in bed. And like the rest of the Surrealists, he admired all the uncanny things that could happen when chance, randomness, dreams and the unconscious were given free rein. But Man Ray did not practice what Surrealism preached. Alex Greenshpun- I like this artist because he uses a lot of color in his artwork and that most of his artwork is close up images. He also uses a lot of editing, but it's tasteful editing. He makes subtle changes but it's really effective

Monett Photography 1 11 November 2019 Social Change Essay Depression is a mental illness that can take joy away from a child or teenagers life. Experts used to think that only adults can get depression, but now we know that depression can occur in children as young as four years old. As many as two out of every one hundred young children, and as many as eight out of every one hundred get diagnosed with depression every month. Yet many children and teens don’t get the help and treatment that they need because it can be hard to distinguish a difference between depression and moodiness. There are many symptoms of depression in kids and teens. Some include the child being bored most of the time, being irritable, moping around, or not being interested in the activities that he or she usually enjoys doing. A child who is depressed may also loose or gain weight, sleep too much or too little, feeling hopeless, worthless or guilty, and even thoughts about hurting themself or even thoughts about suicide. These symptoms can usually be overlooked by parents who think that the symptoms are minor or just a phase. Depression can be caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain, substance abuse, or a traumatic personal event. Many kids in STMA high school suffer from this terrible and scary illness, boys eat alone at lunch, and girls cry in their car before class starts because they are worried about what other people think of them. Only few things have been done to help prevent this from happening like adding more staff to the STMA guidance office. A different solution would be adding younger guidance counselors instead of middle aged ones. This would help because the younger guidance counselors know how a teen thinks and acts in certain situations, which means that the kids can relate more to them and have an easier time talking, and expressing their problems. This solution would help tremendously. I believe that mental health is a topic that is very important to know about because many people all over the world suffer from this awful illness. Suicide rates are at an all time high and I believe that its because of the lack of knowledge on the topic. I believe that the number of kids and teens diagnosed with depression as well as the amount of suicides per year can be lowered if the world as a whole can just watch what they say before they say it, as well as being a good and reliable person that anyone can talk to if needed.
